Mowbray Fireplaces - heating solutions from heating specialists
Mowbray Fireplaces started out when Peter, an experienced engineer, opened a fireplace and heating specialist shop for the supply and installation of fires, fireplaces and heating appliances in Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Rutland about eight years ago.
The business has grown steadily ever since, largely driven by demand from satisfied customers. It is a regular feature of the working week to have new customers coming through the door with recommendations and referrals from previous customers. We believe that this is the best form of advertising.
The business became a partnership when Ron joined Peter, bringing with him 30 years experience as a CORGI registered gas engineer, certified electrician and builder. There are now 12 of us in the business, including our own fireplace fitting teams, in much larger premises than we started out in - though these are starting to feel cramped now!
We are based in our own building with courtyard parking, storage space, showroom space on two floors with ten live chimneys, about 25 display fireplaces with gas and solid fuel fires and stoves too. We also have a large range of baskets, accessories and spares for gas and solid fuel fires.
We have fire and fireplace fitters with CORGI (for gas) and HETAS (for solid fuel) qualifications and many years experience. We also train our own, and have a gas-fitting apprentice (Little Steve - as opposed to Big Steve who finished his apprenticeship about 25 years ago!) who is now in his third year of training.
